Stephanie & Clay Engaged

So I heard from an old friend a month or two ago and she had asked if I was still doing photography.  She had said she had checked the blog and there hadn't been any updates lately. Not a shocker, she was totally correct.  I have been slacking on posting things to the blog.  I have, in fact, still been playing with my camera, but mostly for friends and family.  I really should get in the habit of photographing for myself again! Oh how I do love photos.

Anyways, I had a VERY, VERY, VERY good reason to pull out my camera.  My best friend Stephanie got engaged! Not only was I able to take posed photos of this couple, but I was there for the proposal! Boys, take note, follow Clay's example and have someone around hiding in bushes, trees, or even a box! How could you not want photos of that special moment?!?! Unfortunately for you all, I am not going to share those precious photos, but instead I"ll share the engagement photos that I was able to take in the quaint, cute, and picture-perfect town of Princeton, IL.  Never did I ever think I would come quite so fond of that little town.

Baby Belter Twin Boys: Carbon & Mason

I am so grateful to Steve and Ann for letting me experience my very FIRST newborn photo shoot!  I had so much fun capturing those perfect teeny-tiny bodies, I even managed to get a few smiles and eye contact :) I didn't even know that was possible with two week olds! While I was photographing the boys I had a hard time figuring out who was who, but after hours of staring at the computer editing, I now know exactly who is who! At least for now :)

Congratulations Steve and Ann and may this just be the beginning of many more photographs of their lives :)

Feiker: Sneak Peek

Last Sunday was Father's Day and I had a very loving family shoot on that day.  What a way to make memories.  Here's just a sneak peek of the 3 very cute and loveable  Feiker children: Soren, Liam, and Cora!

Stacy and Kevin: Engaged

Although we didn't see a glimpse of the sun, and we were unsure if the sky was going to open up and poor on us, we had a wonderful shoot in Schaumburg.  I was delighted when Stephanie asked me if I would be willing to photograph Stacy and Kevin's engagement photos.  I had so much fun working with the couple, and Stacy even brought along her Pinterest collection on her phone of poses she liked.  It made it easy-peasy!  You officially have 1 year and 1 day until the big day and I hope that you enjoy every step of the way!

There is definitely more to come, just 2 quick photos to share with the couple who I'm sure are anxiously awaiting all of them!  They are so cute, I can't wait to finish editing! These are just the first of many!

Sweet Boys

Over the past year I have had the chance to watch this family grow and grow.  When I first met them, Ian, the middle boy wasn't even walking yet!  And now, he's riding bikes and has a 2 month old baby brother!  It's amazing how quickly little ones grow and change, it seems like it takes no time at all!  I had a lot of fun hanging out with The Hasting's on Labor Day and think we managed to get a few good shots of the BOYS!  It is no easy quest to try and get a picture of three boys 4 and under, but I think we managed!  Hope you enjoy your sneak peek and the pictures are waiting for your! Brewer's Game

We went to a few Brewer's games this year.  But we had the best seats by far for this game.  Row 11 behind the guest dugout and 3rd base!  Not bad huh?
